Presented by Osprey, this legendary festival tour from Telluride, Colorado, arrives at The Astor Theatre in Melbourne on Thursday, 12 March, bringing with it a curated selection of world-class short films that celebrate the "indomitable human spirit."

While many film tours focus solely on "the send" or the adrenaline spike, Mountainfilm distinguishes itself by leaning into the why. This year’s Australian program is a diverse mix of human-powered stories designed for the outdoor community. Highlights include:

• Human-Powered Missions: Follow splitboarders through Colorado’s San Juan Mountains as they drop everything to earn their lines under their own steam during a rare weather window.

• Progressive Storytelling: A raw look at the mental and physical preparation behind Red Bull Rampage, shifting the focus from high-speed spectacle to the deep psychological load of elite freeride mountain biking.
